I Fucked Up

The Link turned out to be The Stink.

Bad location. Too cold outside. Fucked-up staff. It totally compromised the quality we’ve established over the past 5 years. I was so disappointed in myself and the so-called “staff”, I called it quits and shut down the site.

The response from bruthas was overwhelming, especially this email:

Don’t close the site! Just let it sit, do nothing, take no action. In life there has to be a grace period in everything from relationships to a hiatus from work. 

Sometimes, you have to let things be and let the universe take care of the parts you can’t see.

So, instead of ending, Blackout will take a break to reflect and regroup.

To everyone who came out last night in the cold, please accept my sincerest apologies. The location was way below standard. Also, I trusted my staff to make the necessary adjustments to save the party, but they failed miserably.

This won’t happen again. Stay tuned.

Some nights, you can have a very large group of guys, but things just don’t jump off like you’d expect. Other nights, you get a medium-sized turnout and it gets real active. It’s all about the chemistry.
