Last Night At "Drip"

“Lit” is overused, but damn. What just happened? I’m at a loss for words. Fortunately, a brutha named “Smith” sent the following about his “Drip” experience:

The City Pulled Up! It felt like the city had been waiting on our monthly Drip Wednesday’s to roll back around. Doors opened at 10 p.m., and soon, many members were already inside. Members and supporters from all across LA came through confident, comfortable, and ready to just be.

Drip Wednesday’s is underwear optional, but not many stayed dressed. Different bodies, different vibes, one shared energy, pride, freedom, and community. There was even one guy who became a fan-favorite, tall, stocky, solid, and clearly popular.  We see you!

The open bar stayed stacked, the drinks stayed flowing, and the tents stayed active. One comical moment, two members (one with locs and a ski mask) were going so strong, one rolled right off the bed. Quick laugh, zero slowdown. Motion in the ocean stayed in motion.

Folks even came up for pens and paper to exchange contact info. When people are asking for that, you know the vibe is right.

By 2:05 a.m., staff let everyone know there were 55 minutes left. That reminder? Whole new surge. That last hour went off! Even after the lights came on at 4, change rooms were still full, people were still talking, and nobody seemed in a hurry to disappear.

Drip was only supposed to be a summer pop-up situation, but several bruthas insisted that we keep it going. Stay tuned 😉.
